On 11th and 12th February 2025, the marketing and public relations team from the Tanzania Shipping Company Limited (TASHICO) visited the Republic of Uganda. Led by Mr. Anselm Namala, Head of the Marketing and Public Relations Unit, the team began their visit with a courtesy call to the High Commission, where they engaged in discussions with H.E. Maj. Gen. Paul Kisesa Simuli, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Republic of Uganda. Following this, they continued their engagements with various stakeholders. The primary objective of the visit was to present TASHICO's strategies for attracting and serving Ugandan traders. TASHICO, a government-owned company, provides cargo and passenger transportation services on Lakes Tanganyika, Nyasa, and Victoria, and is currently undertaking significant construction and rehabilitation projects for its Lake Victoria vessels.
