10th to 12th June, 2025, the High Commission organized a comprehensive study tour on livestock farming in Uganda for over 45 farmers and technical staff from Tanzania's Geita Region. The tour, which included both theoretical and practical sessions, took place in Rushere, Kiruhura District. Participants exchanged knowledge and gained valuable experience in commercial beef and dairy cattle farming. The training covered essential topics such as breeding with improved cattle breeds, optimal livestock nutrition, efficient grass planting, fodder preservation, and disease and pest control. The delegation also learned about effective livestock management strategies for seasonal changes and sustainable, multi-generational farming practices aimed at contributing to family and community development.
